On January 11, 2018, Conservatory Lab Director of El Sistema, Josue Gonzalez attended Puelche Frutillar, the International Forum on Creativity and Learning. The forum took place in the scenic Teatro de Lago in the coastal town of Frutillar in Chile. Mr. Gonzalez opened the conference with a performance on cello and gave a presentation of the El Sistema program at Conservatory Lab.
While Mr. Gonzalez represented Conservatory Lab on an international forum, our students were able to watch his performance. Here are some comments from Ms. Sager’s 1st graders:
“That could be you (names of cello players)!”
“He is so talented!”
“Mr. Gonzalez is famous!”
“Everyone is cheering for him!”
This opportunity was made possible by Linda Nathan, the Executive Director of the Center for Artistry and Scholarship.
