Fourth Grade Book Critics

For this week’s Family Notes, the fourth graders in Ms. Wagner’s class wanted to share their wrap-up of the narrative writing unit they’d been doing for the past 6 weeks. Over the course of the unit, the students learned about the use of narrative structure and the author’s voice in stories.

The students wrote their own stories and, on the last school day in October, they presented their books to their classmates. During a silent gallery walk, students read the books and provided critical feedback that was true, kind, and helpful. Ask about the Pickleman or the Moldy Chicken!
