This week, our Director of El Sistema Josue Gonzalez attended (along with several other El Sistema program leaders) a series of meetings in New York City with the executives of El Sistema in Caracas and the CITGO foundation. These important Sistema leaders met with the hopes of establishing a teacher exchange partnership between the Sistema program in Venezuela and programs in America. Should this partnership be established, Conservatory Lab can look forward to hosting a teacher from Venezuela for one week while one of our Resident Artists goes to El Sistema’s home country to deepen their understanding of the program.
