On Saturday, January 26, 2019 the Conservatory Lab Charter School and students came together for their annual Winter Showcase, a day of musical learning and celebration. Students put on two performances—the first concert began at 9:30 a.m. and the afternoon concert followed at 12:00 p.m. The Winter Showcase was be held at First Parish Dorchester in Dorchester, Massachusetts.
The Winter Showcase is an opportunity for students to bring their instruction from class and passion for music to life. “These performances build confidence and give students a chance to share what they’ve learned with the greater community. Conservatory Lab takes pride in transforming the lives of students through El Sistema and creating opportunities for success in music,” said Nicole Mack, Principal.

Founded in 1999, the Conservatory Lab Charter School aims to empower a diverse range of children as scholars, artists, and leaders through unique and rigorous academic and music education. The school also works to enrich the community in Dorchester and the Greater Boston area through performance, service, and education. Conservatory Lab holds the distinction of being the first public school in the U.S. to adopt the ensemble-focused music program El Sistema into its school day.
