Amanda Niznik is starting her first year as the 5/6 Learning Specialist at Conservatory Lab Charter School. She was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and moved to Massachusetts in the summer of 2020. Amanda completed her undergraduate degree at Augsburg University in Minneapolis where she graduated with a degree in History and her license in 5-12 Social Studies. In 2019, she went on to further her education to pursue her master’s degree at Concordia University – St. Paul, in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she will complete her coursework for special education grades K-12 in Spring 2021.
After graduating with her undergraduate degree in 2017, Amanda worked as a behavior interventionist at West Central Regional Juvenile Center in Moorhead, Minnesota, for a year and a half. After that, she moved back to Minneapolis and worked for a year as a special education teacher for students with emotional and behavioral disorders in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. She is very passionate about her students and their learning. Amanda firmly believes in the importance of rapport and relationship building with students.
