Third graders are a dynamic, energetic, curious group of learners who love to ask questions and seek answers. We are problem solvers who are learning that there are multiple ways of solving challenging situations and classroom tasks. In all areas of the curriculum third grade students help each other learn and improve by offering positive comments and suggestions. Conversation is integral to our classroom community. We are learning to actively listen and grow ideas and theories. If you walk by our classroom, you might see us drafting a realistic fiction story or listening to a book (presently I AM JACK) or solving math challenges using a variety of strategies. You might see us collaborating on our magazine about Rocks and Minerals, reading independently or discussing a great book with book club members. Come on by!
